The Skiing in the Portes du Soleil

ChatelThose who have skied in the Portes du Soleil like the fact that it is not as well know as the Tarentaise valley . It has over 650 km of ski runs, 200 lifts, virtually no queues, great mountain restaurants, and you need never ski the same run twice!
Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced off-piste skier, there is no shortage of choice for your skiing holiday. Chatel and La Chapelle are linked into the Portes du Soleil - other resorts include Avoriaz, Morzine and les Gets on the French side and Champery, les Crosets and Morgins on the Swiss side. During peak season we are well placed to offer skiing also in Torgon, Cret Beni and Abondance just to ensure you do not have to queue!

Skiing ChatelThe Portes du Soleil offers you what you are looking for, whether that be gentle tree lined blue runs, some challenging reds, the infamous 'Wall' in Avoriaz or exhilarating off piste tracks. For a fun day out we arrange to take you on the 'circuit'. This is a complete days skiing and takes you from Chatel to Morzine and Avoriaz then dropping into Champery , les Crosets , Champoussin and Morgins, then finally back into Chatel - make sure you make that last lift!

Whatever your level and whichever runs you do you will be guaranteed expert local knowledge, great restaurants and stunning views either across to Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) or les Dents du Midi on the swiss side.

The Portes du Soleil ski area is open from mid-December to the end of April
